Our Story
Founded on July 16, 1946, the University College of Engineering Kakinada (UCEK) began its journey as the College of Engineering, Vizagpatnam. Born from a vision to foster technical expertise in the region, the institution was initially planned for Visakhapatnam but found its home in the historic city of Kakinada.
Over the decades, UCEK has grown from its initial intake of 105 students to become a premier autonomous institution under Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK). Situated on a sprawling 110-acre green campus, it stands as a testament to enduring academic excellence and a commitment to shaping the future of engineering.
